Lawn Care Products

We stock only the finest lawn care products available on the market. We carry a wide variety of commercial grade fertilizers from Lebanon Turf Products and offer recommendations to achieve your lawn care goals. Let us suggest a step by step program to meet your needs (make sure you come armed with the proper square footages so we can determine how much fertilizer you need. It doesn’t make sense to over fertilize it wastes your money and worse yet it ends up as run off in our waterways.

For the “Green” consumers we are also offering organic fertilizers for turf and landscape plants by Espoma and Biofertilizers by Plant Health Care. These products offer good results with less environmental impact. If you have kids and or pets or are just concerned about reducing your environment footprint these products make good sense. 

We also carry a full line of professional Grass Seed blends to meet all of your site requirements from full sun to shade and high to low impact. Again, give us your square feet requirements applying to and we will make the proper recommendations.

*Don’t forget to apply pelletized lime every year at the recommended rate of 40-50lbs per thousand square feet (that’s just to maintain current pH, a soil test should be done to make initial adjustments). We know it sounds like a lot!  But lime is relatively inexpensive and its function cannot be underestimated. Why? Because here in New England our soils are historically acidic (low pH) and need to raised to a range appropriate for nutrient uptake by the turf. Without the proper pH the fertilizer you just applied can be rendered unavailable to the turf.

Edging

We stock a full line of commercial grade landscape edgings.  We stock steel edging from Border Concepts 16’ sections in both 1/8” and 3/16” thicknesses. We stock aluminum edging from Permaloc in 8’ and 16’ sections in 1/8” thickness. And lastly we stock a heavy grade vinyl edging from Oly Ola in four different styles, please call for more details.

Garden Accents

We carry a variety of unique garden accents ranging from glazed pottery to gorgeous fountains, benches and statuary.  We also stock a number of landscapes structures including vinyl arbors and trellises from New England Arbors to wrought iron obelisks and trellises. These items add structure and focal points to the landscape and can be the missing link that completes your landscape or garden space. We stock large and small pieces and can suggest the right element for the given space.

Keep in mind that we live in New England! If these items aren’t properly winterized they can be damaged. We will gladly offer recommendations for winterizing successfully.

Weed Fabrics

We carry a full line of commercial landscape/weed fabrics. These are highly recommended for all applications under stone and can be of benefit under organic mulches in the right situation. Ask us and we will recommend the proper product.

Bagged Mulches and Soils

We stock a full line of bagged mulches and soils for all applications. These are nice when you don’t need a lot and they make handling easy. The line includes different colored mulches, potting soils for containers, peat moss, manure and planting amendments.

When bags just wont cut it, we also offer loam and mulch in bulk. They are sold by the cubic yard loaded with our machine. All you need is a truck. Bulk mulches and soils are available for pick up only in Johnston.
